The trend of of owning a sports team these days in our bolloywood has become a fashionable statement, which was started with IPL. Now this ternd is spreading over other sports like football & gully cricket.
I may go ahead and buy a football team getting into popular sports is a good way of promoting my charity said by Salman Khan, who is also the brand ambassador for AIFF (All India Footbaal Federation). John Abraham who calls himself an ambassador for football, also promotes the sports to ensure " the game gets its due. Even Shilpa Shetty seems interested in football as she visited the heasquarters of the AIFF. She may go buying a football team as owing a sports team as always been a exciting prospect.
Gullly cricket is another sports has taken a fancy with actors, Rajpal Yadav, Divay Dutta owing a Kanpur Gullies and Ludhiana Gullies respectively, say,"It is my home team and am trying to encourage new talent. For Yadav its gives him a chance to scout for hidden talent. "You never know these gullies and mohallas may have the next Tendular or sehwag. For me , it's about shedding light on the tremendous talent these places have to offer".

Its nothing but promotion of there field through sports.Sport & bollywood together has become a good combination and this has given a new name that's sports business.both the elements compliment each other in a great way as you have already seen it...so no point of discussing it further.

hey man whatever u said is 100% TRUE but what is most imp. is development of ecomomy and beside cricket other sports will b given importance. Infact its 22222 much of cricket now v all want a change atleast i want 2 see more of diff. sports like tennis, football etc.
