OUR NATIONAL GAME IS CRICKET!!!OR HOCKEY!!!!!!!!!!




Do We Remember Indian National Game is Cricket or Hockey which is Indian National Game?Hockey is the national game of India.If you will ask the kids now days which game is the national game of India?You will be surprised by the answer Cricket.Even it seems that print and television media also thinks and act in such a way that Cricket is the national game of India...
Sometimes I doubt that even government of India also thinks that cricket is the national game of India.Remembering Golden Era Of Hockey , a Era like that BCCI Cricket has never seen.
India has won 8 Olympic gold medals.During the Golden Era, India played 24 Olympic matches, won all 24, scored 178 goals (at an average of 7.43 goals per match) and conceded only 7 goals.The two other gold medals for India came in the 1964 Tokyo Olympics and the 1980 Moscow Olympics.
If you are a sportsman and if you understand the game please let us know who is responsible for this mess?This is the reason I wanted to ask everyone and myself does time has come to declare Cricket as the National game of India.Does really hockey is still our national game.Few months back in January 2009 Indian cricket captain Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi demanded that cricket should be made India's national game.But today in the year 2009 Indian Hockey has become zero in the game of hockey.Who is responsible for this?????Who will answer these questions????

    बिलकुल सही बात उठाई है अपने सुरेंद्र| लेकिन सरकार के साथ क्या हमारी भी कोई जिम्मेदारी बनती है? और स्पोर्ट्स मार्केटिंग के स्टूडेंट होने के नाते भी क्या आप कुछ कर सकते हैं? मुझे जरूर बताएं

    really nice write up kep it up !!! 2 solve diz problm v need 2 spread awareness at school, college level bcz n school more attention s given & importance s given 2 crickrt as compare 2 hockey ,v really ve 2 wrk on marketing strategy , infrastructure, training of player, providing dem wid facilities, 4r sure govt. sports s must 2 promote HOCKEY as a national game of India.

    मेरी नज़र में अब सरकार से उम्मीद रखना बेमानी होगी. अगर वाकई में सरकार कुछ करना चाहती तो शायद आज हमें ये मुद्दा उठाना ही न पड़ता. सरकार ने हर खेल क सञ्चालन के लिए संघ तो बनाएं हैं पर उनका संचालन खिलाडियों के बदले नेताओं के हाथ में देना देश के अन्य खेलों के लिए महंगा पद रहा है. शायद कुछ लोगों को जानकार आश्चर्य हो के केंद्र हर साल इन संघों के नाम करोड़ों का ग्रांट देता है ताकि ज़मीनी स्तर पर खेलों को बढावा दिया जा सके पर अफ़सोस उस पैसे से केवल नेताओं के बैंक बैलेंस को बढ़ावा मिलता है.

    मेरा सोचना है के अगर हम वाकई अपने राष्ट्रीय खेल को बढ़ावा देना चाहते हैं तो अब बागडोर हमें संभालनी होगी. नई सोच और नए तरीकों को देश की भावनाओं से जोड़ के कुछ एसा करना होगा क हमारा राष्ट्रीय खेल वो दर्जा वापस पा सके जिसका वो हकदार है.
