NEW DELHI: The Organising Committee of the Commonwealth Games has made some minor changes in the mascot 'Shera' to make it more attractive. "A little bit of visual change in the mascot was made last month by our 'Image and Look' department to make Shera more attractive," an official of the Organising Committee said. 'Shera' was first introduced to the world at the closing ceremony of the Melbourne Commonwealth Games in 2006. "As the true representative of India, Shera embodies values that the nation is proud of: majesty, courage, power and grace. The change was made to make Shera more attractive," the official said. He said a minor change in colour and texture was also made in the logo, which was created taking inspiration from national symbol Chakra. The logo symbolises India's march towards modernity.
