Yes, our mascot SHARA of CWG 2010 is coming 2 meet all its fans. Commonwealth Games 2010 will be the theme of Delhi’s pavilion during the India International Trade Fair (IITF) next month from Nov 14-27 at Pragati Maidan said Chetan Sanghi, managing director of Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC).
Delhi’s pavilion is a permanent structure constructed and managed by DSIIDC on behalf of the state government.
“The interiors of the remodelled pavilion will cover an area of 1,422 square meters. One side of the pavilion will be dedicated to the Commonwealth Games, which will be the biggest international sporting event to be hosted by India,after the 1982 Asian Games.
The pavilion will show 3D tableaux float of the games including previous games’ mascots in the form of live puppets and have lots of dhamaal (fun).
Health, education, tourism and hospitality sectors will also figure prominently in the pavilion.
“A sculpted hand and a larger than life size computer on it will represent the services sector. To highlight Delhi’s vibrant mood, an arch like structure made up of several neon bands will be erected at the exit gate, adding colour and brightness,” said Sanghi.
So this time children, teenagers, adolescents, adults & our respected senior citizens don’t forget to meet your super star “SHARA”, who is coming to do rock and roll with you at IITF.
